New technologies such as the big data, the cloud service and the social network are exerting an increasing impact on the ways of teaching and learning. Mobile learning, online education and flipped classroom have initiated a new era of educational reform.

Against this background, China Association for Computer-Assisted Language Learning (ChinaCALL, www.chinacall.org.cn) and the Institute of Online Education of Beijing Foreign Studies University will organize 2016 International Symposium on CALL on July 22^nd-23^rd, 2016 in Qingdao, China. The symposium will provide a platform for both home and international academics, researchers, teachers at the school and the university levels to exchange ideas and explore the ways of integrating new technologies with instruction.
